Where does the money go?
This year the money raised will be given to Recess Guardians, a local program spearheaded by Michael McDonald. Michael is an active member of Saskatoon's running community and is doing very important things with his time and energy. The Saskatoon Police Service Half Marathon is proud to support his efforts. Recess Guardians’ mission is to motivate children to bring positive attitudes to the playground, while teaching their peers how to play in an energetic, fun and constructive way. Who
Over the past two years this event has been put together by members of the Saskatoon Police Service with the tremendous support of Saskatoon associations and businesses. We are proud to watch the event grow and become a important event on the Saskatoon running calendar.

Why
The Saskatoon Police Service Half Marathon was started for many reasons. For starters we wanted to inspire the community and the police service to stay active and keep healthy. We wanted to showcase the wonderful people the police service is made of and show its membership that it has the community's support. Getting the police service together with the community keeps everyone active and raises money for charity. So far together we have raised over $10,000.00 for charity.
